Frequently Asked Questions

A thoughtful place to begin.

Find practical answers about the Framework, free Assessment and Studio access, privacy, and ways to work with me.

What problem does the Seven Human Systems Framework™ address?

The recurring problem is that your needs, preferences, and limits lose out to what you believe is expected of you. The Framework helps you connect the influences behind an automatic yes, an unspoken opinion, or difficulty stepping away. Understanding those connections can inform a choice that includes you.

Does this mean I should say no more often?

It means considering yourself before answering. You may accept a commitment because it matters to you, ask for time, suggest sharing it, or decline. The aim is a considered yes as well as an honest no, with your preferences and capacity included.

What if I cannot simply put a responsibility down?

Some responsibilities are necessary, and some choices are limited by finances, caregiving, unequal workloads, or a lack of support. Understanding yourself can help you name what you need, explore available options, and ask for practical help. It does not make you responsible for circumstances you did not create.

Who was this work created for?

Women who value their commitments and want their own lives to receive attention too. You may lead, parent, work, serve, or care for others. Some women feel overwhelmed; others function well and notice that usefulness has become their default. No particular job title is required. Groups and organizations can also explore the Framework.

Why did Jackie create the Seven Human Systems?

The Framework grew from my exploration of how inner expectations influence everyday choices. My About page explains the personal and professional experiences behind the work.

Do I have to tell my story or complete activities?

No. You may simply read. Writing, guided routes, and the Assessment are available if you want them, and you decide what to record or share. There is no required activity or completion schedule.

What is J Michaels Wellness?

J Michaels Wellness™ is my company. The Seven Human Systems Framework™ is my approach to understanding the connections influencing everyday choices. The JS Michaels Studio™ is a free place to explore and apply it. I also offer private Insight Sessions, speaking, and organizational work.

What are the Seven Human Systems?

The seven interconnected Human Systems are:

  1. Identity System: How you understand who you are.
  2. Belief System: The beliefs and interpretations that influence how you understand yourself, others, and your experiences.
  3. Protection System: The ways you attempt to create safety and protect yourself from perceived threat, rejection, pain, or uncertainty.
  4. Responsibility System: How you understand, carry, and respond to responsibility for yourself and others.
  5. Emotional Regulation System: How you experience, process, express, and recover from emotion.
  6. Relational System: How you connect, communicate, trust, establish boundaries, and navigate relationships.
  7. Vitality System: The physical and internal resources that support your energy, resilience, recovery, and overall well-being.

The Framework considers how these areas of your experience may influence one another.

Is this therapy or coaching?

These resources and sessions offer education and reflection. They do not diagnose or treat conditions or replace therapy or medical care. Seek support from a licensed professional whenever you need it.

What is The Human Systems Assessment™?

The Assessment is a free self-reflection experience delivered through ScoreApp. It includes 28 questions and typically takes less than 15 minutes. It is not a personality test or diagnosis. Your personalized results help you notice patterns across the seven systems and identify what may deserve greater attention.

Do I need to take the Assessment before joining the Studio?

No. You may enter the Studio directly. The Assessment can provide a useful starting point. An Insight Session can focus on your Assessment report or a discussion of the seven Human Systems.

How does the Studio help me use the Framework in everyday life?

You might notice a moment when your preference disappeared, explore the systems influencing it, and consider a different response. That could be a pause, a shared task, or a yes to something you value. The Studio also makes room for enjoyment, curiosity, connection, and rest. Reading on its own is enough.

Is Studio membership free?

Yes. Studio membership is free. Create an account to save your progress, journal entries, and pathways so you can return at your own pace. No payment information is required.

Can I move through the Studio at my own pace?

Yes. The Studio is self-directed, so you can begin with what feels most relevant, pause when you need to, and return without a fixed schedule or required sequence. Your saved progress and journal entries remain connected to your account.

How can I work directly with Jackie?

Individuals can book The Human Systems Insight Session™ directly from the Work With Jackie page. Each private session is up to 90 minutes and costs $297, with time to review your Assessment report or discuss the seven Human Systems. Organizations may engage me for speaking, workshops, facilitated conversations, or organizational advisory.

How is pricing determined for speaking and organizational work?

Group and organizational work is priced through a defined proposal based on the format, audience, duration, preparation, and deliverables. Contacting me to discuss fit does not create a commitment or require payment.

Are my journal entries public?

No. Studio journal entries are connected to your account and are not displayed publicly. Please review the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions for additional information about account data and platform use.

Where should I begin?

You can begin with a reading in the Studio. Choose the optional Assessment if you want a reflective view across the seven systems, or visit Work With Jackie when a conversation would be useful. There is no required sequence. Licensed professional care is welcome alongside these resources.

Still deciding where to begin?

Choose the next step that fits your current need. There is no required sequence and no need to do everything at once.
